Tharaka-Nithi County this week hosted the 6th K-WASH Implementation Support Mission, bringing together the State Department for Water and Sanitation, the World Bank, and the K-WASH team to review progress and tackle challenges facing local water and sanitation projects.
The mission was led by K-WASH Programme Coordinator Eng. Wilfred Amwata and World Bank Task Team Leader Pascaline Wanjiku, who joined County Secretary Alex Muratha, CECM for Water Njue Njagi, and Chief Officer Loise Mutua, alongside teams from NITHAWASCO and Murugi-Mugumango.
The team toured health facilities and schools to inspect ongoing projects and discuss practical ways to strengthen water utilities and improve service delivery.
