A delegation from the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), led by Board of Management Chairperson Mr. Joseah K. Cheruiyot, recently paid a courtesy call on Tharaka-Nithi County. They were received on behalf of H.E. the Governor by the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Public Health and Medical Services, Dr. Gichuyia Nthuraku M’Riara (OGW).
The KMTC team included Board members and management from the Chuka and Marimanti campuses. They were joined on the county side by Chief Officers Benson Njeru (Public Health and Sanitation) and Aggrey Karani (Medical Services), Deputy County Secretary Hillary Mutugi, and Legal Officer Diana Mutugi.
The talks centred on getting the KMTC Chuka Campus, next to Chuka Level V Hospital, fully operational. Both sides also committed to deepening their partnership to train more skilled health workers and improve healthcare delivery across the county, the region and the country.
The visit signals a promising step toward stronger health services for the people of Tharaka-Nithi and beyond.
