The Deputy Governor, His Excellency Muisrael Derebia, alongside the Chief Officer for Trade and Investment Promotion, Benson Njeru, joined the CS for Trade, Rebecca Miano, and other executive delegations from various counties to deliberate on proposed expressions of interest sought in the operationalization of County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPs).
The National Government, through the Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industry (MITI), is promoting the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) and has recognized the significant roles that the agriculture and manufacturing sectors play in income generation, wealth, and job creation, increased foreign exchange earnings, and poverty reduction. In collaboration with the Council of Governors (CoG) and key stakeholders, CAIPs are being established in each county, with our County making steady progress in establishing its CAIP at Marembo in the Igambangombe sub-county.
