Strategic partnerships between the County Administration and SACCOs are crucial for empowering farmers and fostering sustainable agricultural development.
The County Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Cooperative Development held consultative meetings with Trans-Nation SACCO, Southern Star SACCO and Thamani SACCO to explore potential collaborations aimed at strengthening the National Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP).
We shall continue incorporating SACCOs to nurture upcoming ward-level micro-finance institutions, as they provide essential financial services, affordable credit and savings as we improve farmers’ access to credit for farmers in Tharaka Nithi County.
