The County Department of Water and Irrigation led by CECM Njue Njagi and Chief Officer Loise Mutua hosted a delegation from the African Development Bank (AfDB) during a pre-appraisal mission for the upcoming National Urban Water and Sanitation Program.
The mission aimed to undertake project appraisal and collect relevant information for the proposed Chuka and Chogoria Last Mile Connectivity Projects for both Water and Sewerage which will improve access to clean water and sanitation, aiming to drive economic growth, boost the quality of life for residents, and build resilience against climate change.
Also present were representatives from the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, Tana Water Works Development Agency and Nithi Water and Sanitation Company, demonstrating the importance of improving water and sanitation infrastructure in the region.
