We are deeply alarmed by the growing number of infant abandonment cases reported in our county over the past two months. According to the County Children and Gender Chief Officer, Ms. Kelly Karimi Rwigi, a total of seven male infants, all just a few weeks old, have been found abandoned in isolated thickets—the latest case occurring just last night. This disturbing trend is not only heartbreaking but also poses serious questions about the safety and welfare of newborns in our communities and especially boys. It is especially concerning that these infants are being left in life-threatening conditions. We urgently call upon the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and relevant law enforcement agencies to launch thorough investigations into these incidents. Identifying those responsible and ensuring they are brought to justice is critical in preventing further harm and deterring similar acts.We also appeal to the public to remain vigilant and proactive. If you witness or suspect any case of child endangerment, or if you come across any abandoned child, please report immediately to authorities or call the county's toll-free number is 1513.The protection of our children is a collective responsibility. No child deserves to begin life in fear, pain, or neglect. ... See MoreSee Less
