Mashujaa Day Celebrations in Tharaka Nithi County

Our heroes and heroines who gallantry struggled for freedom from the colonial masters binds us during Mashujaa day every year as we mark and celebrate their selfless dedication to our Nation, Kenya.

It’s through the freedom achieved then that as a nation we embrace each other, foster unity, peace and love as one people.

Appealed to the Tharaka Nithi freedom fighters to formalize their outfit for collective bargaining both at the county and National level for recognition.

This Mashujaa day, encouraged the residents of Tharaka Nithi to seek subsidized AI and dairy feeds’ inputs to reduce on farmer cost of production and increased production, utilisation of our completed market facilities, sensitised on finding a solution to our water problem, firstly by discouraging Eucalyptus along our riparian areas as well as sand harvesting.

Finally, appealed to the Health officers to halt plans for a go-slow in their services as the county is striving to solve the crosscutting issues progressively and hold continuous dialogue in an effort to finding long lasting solutions.

Together with the County Commissioner, Beverly Oporwa, M.P Chuka Igambang’ombe, Hon. Patrick Munene and other leaders attended Mashujaa day at Kajiunduthi grounds, Maara.
